Shubh Mangal Saavdhan

3rd February, 2018

Dear Diary,

Today was a big day coz it was my Grand Mom’s Birthday as well as Grand parents’ 50th wedding anniversary. We had a lot of fun. And we had a little surprise planned for them which went with huge success.

In the morning we went to my Grand parent’s house to make the arrangement for pooja. We had a little pooja as a good occasion and my grand parents thought that only her daughters (i.e my MOM, and her two sisters ) were invited as a family function. Until afternoon the pooja was over and we had lunch.

After lunch we came home and started the planning for future event. This event was a surprise for grandparents. They had no idea of this plan. We actually invited all their close relatives and sisters and brothers. Also my uncles and aunts and we had a kinda party for them. But before that the grand price.

The Wedding. We had them do their wedding again today, with all the traditions and fun. Indian wedding are all jolly and nice with songs and music and promises. We performed a small ritual (the original plan was to play the mangal ashtak on the phone but no body could hear thanks to the low quality speaker. So MOM and her sisters began to sing it and others joined)and had grand parents wear each other garlands and dances and food. Only close relatives were invites but still 40+ people were in that small place. And after the marriage everyone had dinner. We ordered it from outside. Slowly people started leaving and I too left to come home.  Now as I am writing the diary, people still there in grandparents home are talking and chatting. I believe they won’t leave until 12:00 pm.

I wish I could also give my parents a surprise wedding party on their wedding anniversary.

Good Night Diary.
